His Bag of Goodies
Last night, we had a guest speaker at the LCREC, RPOF Chair Christian Ziegler, and he brought some shiny new toys and twirls, for all the authoritarian boys, and girls. Michael and Tara know who they are, so I won’t name them here. I’ll just say that their last names rhyme with Thompson and Jenner.
Fair and Impartial
Before I get into all that, I did promise Christian a couple things. I never take things personally, and Im fair. So, to be fair, Christian is a likable enough guy, and he’s a sharp dresser, too. And, he did seek me out before the meeting, and engaged in a dialog about why he thinks the 2-meeting rule was an improvement, and why he thinks it is indispensable. I disagree on both counts, but I’ll get to that in 3.5 minutes (and for those who know me, you know that that probably really means more like 6-8 minutes). And, by the way, Christian, this article was not pre-written. No amount of crystal balls could have prepared me for the unmitigated gall demonstrated by these authoritarians.
Christian reminds me a lot of Lee County’s own Mitt Clodwell. Now, I’ve always heard that they don’t much like each other. So, if that’s true, Christian’s probably going to take that a little personally. I assure you, it’s not personal, just an observation. To be fair, they are both calculated, smooth talking, slightly-right-of-center, neocons, as far as I can tell. He and I probably agree on a lot of things, like anti-woke, anti-abortion, anti-leftist, anti-indoctrination in schools, etc. But, then what Republicans wouldn’t? Well, Christian claims this is his reason for the 2-meeting rule. But, wait, we’re not there, yet.
Under different circumstances, someone like Christian and I might be REC buds, except we look at the purpose of politics very differently, and I don’t necessarily approve of most politico’s views anymore. Politics for me is more of a God-Given, God-Sent calling. A mission. I’ve become more of a purest, and less tolerant in anything less, since the RINO/Democrat/Uniparty/DeepState/Globalists (or RINOdemUNDS, for short) decided that it’s perfectly fine to exterminate 90% of the global population, and either agree with, or barely push back on mandates since this plandemic began. The RINOdemUNDS are poised to nail our coffins shut by handing our sovereignty over to the WHO. And, to be further fair, Christian, this is your opportunity to prove me wrong, by pushing the Ban The Jab Resolution in Sarasota, the RPOF, and RNC, real quick, and in a hurry. But, the myocarditis epidemic is counting on you to do nothing.
Sitting on Santa’s Lap
Christian came to take a barrage of Q&A, presumably surrounding all of the rules changes that the RPOF has endured this year. Normally, the rules get updated every 6-8 years, but we are on our third set of rules since the board elections in December. It is my contention that these are control tactics to keep America-First Trump Republicans out of the RECs, and relegate them to door-knocking free labor for the next slate of Mitts, Ricks, Rons and Marcos that the RPOF ‘allows’. I am still waiting on the video of that portion of our meeting, so I won’t be able to embed it here, like I had hoped.
I had a lot of questions that I wanted answered, but ultimately I said “I only have 1 question, broken into 42 easy parts, just kidding, it’s only 11”. I then asked him, adjusted from our earlier discussion in the foyer, "What do you say to people who are concerned about your wife's involvement in the DeepSantis Presidential Campaign, not DeepSantis' run for Governor, which probably all of us here supported, and not speaking of Trump's 2016 or 2020 Presidential run, or anything in the past, but who do you support for President in 2024?", and then I meant to add "and why has your RPOF worked to keep Trump off the Florida ballot in 2024?", but my question was already quite long. Longer than the answer should have been. But, to be fair, he did answer every aspect of my question to the fullest, and someone else asked about the loyalty oath.
His answer was along the lines of “How many people here supported DeSantis for Governor in 2022?”. Most everyone raised their hands. He then jokingly said “You’re all Never-Trumpers”. Witty? Yes. But, a little disingenuous? Yes. He then added that his wife sits on the Sarasota School Board, works with the DeSantis Administration (not campaign), regarding education, and that some skewed reporting tied the 2 separate issues of administration and campaign together. He also spoke of his involvement with the Kary Lake campaign to correct the stolen election in Arizona. Again, to be fair, we’ll see. One of my next articles will be a deep dive into these claims, and multiple sources will be sought for a full and total disclosure. And, the chips will fall where they may.
Christian also said that regarding endorsing a Presidential candidate before the primary would be inappropriate from the RPOF Chair. I agree. Indeed, we all take an oath to uphold the rules, one of which is that we cannot endorse/donate in primaries, using our REC or RPOF titles (we are allowed to do so, personally). He claimed that since he will have to work with whoever the nominee is, he can’t have that relationship muddied with a primary disagreement.
My good friend, Dr. Joseph Sansone, is always saying that the purpose of the Republican Party (or any party) is to be a platform, for the best candidate to rise from, regardless of establishment ties and without monetary support from the party. The party should be fair and impartial. So, I have a hard time disagreeing with Christian’s statement. Where I am not sure we agree is, whether that is the true and real reason Christian claims to be Switzerland. For now, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt. Time will tell, and the RPOF’s treatment of Trump, regarding Loyalty Oaths, will tell all.
Thankfully, my good friend, Susan Moyer, was able to ask about the RPOF "Loyalty Oath" rule to keep Trump off the ballot. The RPOF does have it in effect now. The RPOF will be revisiting it again this Friday afternoon and it may be changed. The change will appear finalize in January quarterly. He will know something after the Friday meeting. He said that in 2016 Trump had no problem signing the same oath. The RPOF did it this year because of the scare that Liz Cheney may be running. Christian thought that he would have gotten push back from Chris Christie, but did not.
Shiny Toys and Twirls for All the Authoritarian Boys and Girls
Early on in the meeting, during Ted Reese’s raising of a “Question of Privilege”, Terror Jenner, AKA Queen CleoTara, was ill-prepared to break the rules solo, so Christian was called up to opine on the motion to remove the chair, specifically on the issue of the improper removal of Kim Reese as the duly elected Chair of the Membership Standing Committee.
Now, this is where Christian showed his true colors, to be fair to all. He demanded to be allowed to talk only in a hypothetical situation, and refused to accept that the EC voted, not only for 5 Standing Committees, but also for Kim Reese at the February meeting. But, then added that, even so, the chair can add any replacement committees, on top of existing committees, whenever he wanted, and that the only recourse is to file a grievance with the Grievance Committee. A Grievance Committee, by the way, that is well known for not following the rules on grievances, and never finding fault with a complaint.
Sorry, Christian, the gloves must now come off. To suggest that an EC, which votes for Standing Committees and their Chairs, can simply be replaced with an ad-hoc committee at will, is disingenuous, ridiculous, incredulous, and down-right an insult to the rule of law. That is the endorsement of a completely lawless authoritarian dictatorship. This flies in the face of the spirit, and letter, of the CMC and Robert’s Rules. Sir, you just lost every singe ounce of respect that I gave you previously, in this article. What Christian called for was a roll of Bathroom Constitution.
Per the CMC, Art. X “Parliamentary Authority”, the REC is MANDATED to follow Robert’s Rules of Order. Per RRoO, Ad Hocs are only for a single, or narrowly-defined, purpose, and for a very limited time period. To advocate for replacing Standing Committees with Ad-Hocs, just because that’s the only way that a County Chair can be a totalitarian, is to wipe, twice, with the County Model Constitution. Any County or State Chair advocating for the subversion of the Constitutions of the RPOF is an abomination. Christian’s failure to make that clear has rendered him an unmitigated failure as State Chair, and an enemy to true Constitutional Conservatives of Florida. And Tara and Michael are even worse for inviting him here to subvert the Constitution. The amount of shame, wrung out like a mop, will raise your flood insurance. Oh, wait… The SupeRINOrity Legislature and DeepSantis have already done that.
I will also be writing an article in a day or so, diving deeper into the other subversions of the CMC at last night’s meeting, such as the Vice Chair’s violation of:
CMC Art. VIII “Notice”
“Notice sent by U.S. Mail shall be deemed provided on the date postmarked.”
when she insisted that since Michael was out of town the day the Certified Letter was delivered, he wasn’t legally “notified”. The Constitution says otherwise. And, it’s as clear as day, and NOT subject to interpretation, or reinvention by a non-practicing, self-proclaimed “Constitutional Attorney” (the same one who told the Charlotte County REC that the Ban The Jab Resolution was “poorly written”, but that she could help them rewrite it, because she was a Constitutional Attorney, which resulted in it failing at their meeting).
In that article we will deep dive into the much larger problem of an uneducated Executive Committee, who is being indoctrinated by Tara’s training classes, which support her obscure thinking, as well as the indication that the EC is acting more like a Kool-Aid drinking cult, than a free thinking group of Republicans.
RINO Rules for All the Ghouls
So, Christian was there for several reasons, mainly to lend aid and comfort to the authoritarians. It’s tricky when you are blatantly violating the Constitution, and everyone’s watching. It took an overzealous Supreme Court to tell you that Lawrence, Dred, Roe, and others are acceptable. And, even though that's not the job of the RPOF Chair, he came and delivered his goodies, anyway. But, they set this up prior to any motion to remove the chair.
No, this was originally set up as a platform for the RPOF to lay down the hammer on anyone pushing back on the illegal Rules changes that were instituted twice in less than 9 months. There are 2 specifically sticky wickets. The first one, I wrote about already... 2-Meeting Rule change, which violated State Statute requiring the immediate filling of vacancies. The second rule change was the removal of the Bond requirement for County Chairs and Treasurers. I don't like to speculate, because it leaves so much to chance, but the only reason I can possibly imagine for removing this requirement would be for the benefit of 1, or more, County Chair members of the RPOF, who for whatever reason, could not qualify for the Bond, and would have to resign, otherwise. I would love to hear any other possible excuse/reason for this change, because I just let my Prime membership lapse, and I need the entertainment.
It would be nice if the convention of spelling out acronyms before using them were to used so I could have some idea what this article is about without researching them.
Too many words. And the simplest words and sentences is the best choice. This was hard to follow.
